  		Family group: All Sarah Bennison's children on a day out, c1927 Sarah Bennison was dead by the time this was taken, but all of her children are on the coach. We have identified only 6 people, the girl sitting right at the back, and the 5 people standing towards the front. They are her daughter Olive Thomas, with husband (to be?) Albert Hulme; and her 2nd husband Roger Foster with 3 children he and Sarah had.

• Notes

  Later in life, Mabel became a Christian Scientist. She believed that God's love alone could cure any illness, so long as one had sufficient faith. She consequently refused treatment for the eminently curable illness that killed her. (Medical):Mabel was in Heswall Sanatorium for 7 years, from about 1938, with tuberculosis. One of the other patients was Jim Nelson's first wife, who was there for 12-13 years until her death. Mabel and she were good friends until her death. This is how Mabel and Jim met.
