That is the first time I have seen a day in a month referred to as "ye last"

• Notes

  The date of Matthew's burial is a mystery. The parish record records his burial in Decemebr ?? 1686; the bishop transcript has his burial on 4 Jul 1680, only a year after the death od his second child Mary, so this seems the more likely .. Perhaps there were 2 Matthews.
