Robert Ferguson married Ellen Singleton on 21 Oct 1906, at St Benedict Church, Everton, Liverpool.

Why Ellen's father's name is given as John, I have no idea. It was Henry, he was a van man, and there was no John Singleton with daughter Ellen in Liverpool!

We believe this to be Robert and Nellie, and believe it to be taken in celebration of their wedding. The photo is in the possession of Rob Henon, Bob's grandson. Nellie was living with Rob's parents when she died in 1958, and this was probably one of a number that she had kept for many years. The photo was possibly taken on their wedding day, 21 Oct 1906.

If this was 1923, Nellie Singleton, formerly Ferguson, was by then married to Edwin Hilton. This shows her with her 3 surviving children, Nellie, Minnie and Lil.

Harry and Lil married on 8 Jun 1943, at the parish church in Aldershot. The uniformed men at each end are unknown. Lil's sister Nellie was her bridesmaid. Her other sister Minnie was due to attend, but her children (myself being one) were so upset at her leaving them that she changed her mind!
