Bef 1686 - Samuel Leicester baptism, 1684
Samuel, the 8* great grandfather of Dave's daughter Judy, was baptised on 22 Mar 1685 at St Wilfrid Church, Davenham, Cheshire.
The above image clearly shows the baptism taking place in 1684. However, by the old Julian calendar, the year 1684 started on 25 March 1684 and ended a year later on 24 March. Thus this baptism on 22 March took place in 1685 by today's Gregorian calendar.
