Mary, the 7*great grandmother of Dave's daughter Judy, was baptised at St Chad Church, Over, Winsford, Cheshire, on 3 Apr 1679.
The entry is smudged and hard to read. I think it says "Mary Maddock filius Matthew Maddock baptised April the 3" - filius is "son", but some parish clerks had only a rudimentary Latin knowledge!
